The architecture has the following components:

• Connectivity and DNS traffic steering
  1. Clients send DNS queries for frontend.example.com.
  2. OCI DNS with Traffic Management Policies evaluates policies and returns an address (111.111.111.111 or 222.222.222.222 in this example).
  3. Clients connect to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Load Balancer in the selected region using the returned address.
