This image shows the process of using Cloud Guard to monitor compartments using Detector and Responder recipes. The process enables you to detect problems and notify an administrator to respond to the problem manually or automatically by invoking functions based on OCI events.

The process is as follows:

• Define targets
• Detect problems using a Detector recipe
• When a problem is detected there are a couple of ways to respond to the problem.
  • Notify an administrator to manually check and resolve a problem
  • Set up riles to invoke a function triggered by OCI events

The compartments that are monitored versus not monitored are also indicated using circles in different colors.
