This image shows an Oracle Cloud
Infrastructure (OCI) region with 1 availability domain and 1 virtual cloud network (VCN). The region provides Oracle Cloud
Infrastructure Object Storage services.
Authentication is provided by third-party providers such as Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, and social media authentication.
REST API support is provided for customer systems such as custom applications, business applications, and security systems.
Users access the platform by using their smartphone or ID wallet.
The VCN provides the following gateways:
- Internet gateway: Provides communications between public subnets and internet hosts. In this case, users access the platform
from their smartphone.
- Service gateway: VCNs communicate with services such as object storage over the Oracle network fabric without traversing the
internet.
The VCN includes an instance of Oracle Blockchain
Platform which comprises the blockchain network, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Events, and a REST proxy. The VCN also includes the following subnets.
- Edge private subnet: Provides load balancers to handle incoming traffic from the internet.
- Application private subnet: Provides a virtual machine cluster and an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Container
Engine for Kubernetes (OKE) cluster. The OKE cluster includes the following instances:
- Kafka: Provides event brokering and processing for load balancer traffic. Data is stored in the database subnet and in the
regional object storage.
- Kibana: Provides dashboards and reporting.
- ID Manager: Interfaces between the machine learning subnet and authentication systems.
- API and SDK: Provides API and SDK support for customer systems, ID wallets and interfaces with the REST proxy in the Oracle Blockchain
Platform.
- Database private subnet: Provides a Oracle NoSQL Database
Cloud Serviceinstance to Kafka event and machine learning data. The database also connect to regional object storage.
- Machine learning private subnet: Provides a GPU virtual machine and an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Container
Engine for Kubernetes (OKE) cluster. The OKE cluster includes machine learning, machine learning operations, and machine learning flow instances.
