This image shows a single Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) region with one availability domain, 3 fault domains, and a single virtual cloud network (VCN). The region provides identity and access management, auditing, and logging services for the region. Additional functional detail is provided in the surrounding text.
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) and warehouse management system (WMS) users in multiple plant locations connect to the VCN by using a site-to-site virtual private network (VPN) and a dynamic routing gateway (DRG). External users, such as field sales, engineers, and quality assurance personnel access an APEX app through an internet gateway, and then access engineering database resources over a service gateway.
The VCN provides 3 subnets, 1 in each of the 3 fault domains. Each subnet provides a security list and a route table.
- Subnet 1 contains 10 virtual machines that include Windows RDS servers, DC1 VM, VT100 emulator, RDS license server, Paxton access server, IQMS ERP database, IQMS time and attention, production monitoring, real-time server 1, and file server.
- Subnet 2 contains virtual machines that include Windows RDS servers, DC2 VM, VT100 emulator, IQMS ERP web API, and real-time server 2.
- Subnet 3 contains 7 virtual machines that include Windows RDS servers, primary DC VM,VT100 emulator, Microsoft active directory, IQMS intranet web server, IQMS automated ERP Queries, and real-time server 3.
