The image shows Oracle Exadata Database Service on Oracle Database@Azure with two regions: Azure Region 1 and OCI Region 1 and Azure Region 2 and OCI Region 2.

Azure Region 1 hosts Availability Zone 1 with Oracle Database@Azure with VCN1 (10.10.0.0/16) with the Primary Oracle Database shared between a Backup (10.10.0.0/24) subnet and Client (10.10.1.0/24) subnet. VCN1 is shared with OCI Region 1.Azure Region 1 also has Availability Zone 2 with Oracle Database@Azure hosting VCN2 (10.20.0.0/16) with the Standby1 Oracle Database shared between a Backup (10.20.0.0/24) subnet and Client (10.20.1.0/24) subnet.

Availability Zone 2 runs Oracle Database@Azure in VCN2 (10.20.0.0/16) with a Backup (10.20.0.0/24)subnet and a Client (10.20.0.0/24) subnet with LPG2 Remote locally peering to HubLPG2 within Hub VCN1 in OCI Region 1.

OCI Region 1 remotely peers with Azure Region 2. OCI Region 1 hosts Hub VCN1 (10.11.0.0/16) which has the Hub LPG1 route table and Hub LPG2 route table with DRG1. DRG1 route table is shown next to the DRG1 in Hub VCN1.

The Primary Oracle Database replicates by local peering with LPG1 local and LPG2 local in OCI Region 1 and connects to the Standby1 Database in Availability Zone 2.

The Primary Oracle Database in Availability Zone 1 replicates to Standby1 Database in Availability Zone 3 through LPG1 Remote which locally peers with Hub LPG1, and then through DRG1 which uses Active Data Guard and remotely peers with OCI Region 2 through DRG3.

OCI Region 2 hosts Hub VCN3 (10.33.0.0/16) with Hub LPG3 route table and DRG3 route table. Azure Region 2 hosts Availability Zone 3 with Standby2 Database and remotely peers to OCI Region 2 and runs Oracle Database@Azure in VCN3 (10.30.0.0/16) with a Backup (10.30.0.0/24) subnet and a Client (10.30.0.0/24) subnet which are shared with OCI Region 3. The Standby2 Oracle Database is shared between the Backup and Client subnets. OCI Region 3 hosts Hub VCN1 (10.33.0.0/16) with Hub LPG3 route table and DRG3 route table.

Each of the regions has the same architecture with unique names of the VCNs, Hub VCNs, LPGs, and DRGs named based on the region.
