The image shows the network traffic in a geographic (Geo) region (for example, Ashburn) between on-premises, OCI Region, and third-party cloud hosts. Each one has a VCN with the following components:

• Scan file system and Usage Tracker
• Customer Host that includes an Oracle Management Agent and a JMS plug-in
• JMS Plugin API TLS/443 with Java installation, Java Servers, and Java Application

The communication flows as follows:

• The Java Management Service is located in an OCI Region and uses TLS/443 for two-way communication with the internet.
• User uses HTTP/S for two-way communication with the internet.
• Two-way HTTP/S communication flows to and from the internet to the JMS plug-in in each customer host.
• The JMS plug-in sends traffic to the Usage Tracker and the Scan file system within the VCN in on-premises, OCI Region, and third-party cloud.
