This image shows a sample architecture and components in an on-premises data center and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to convert Oracle Forms applications to Oracle Application Express (Oracle APEX) on-premises, and then migrate the applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

The on-premises data center has an Oracle Database. Oracle Forms are generated, with SQL*Net, from information in Oracle Database. The Forms to XML Converter command-line migrates the contents to Oracle APEX. After migrating, the pages are rendered in Oracle APEX. To move the applications to the cloud, customer premises equipment is connected to the cloud with Oracle FastConnect.

The Oracle Cloud region has one availability domain, with a regional public subnet and a regional private subnet inside a VCN. Oracle APEX is located in the Regional Public Subnet and ATP is located in the Regional Private Subnet. Security Lists are located on the VCN and both subnets. Oracle Identity and Access Management Service and the Audit Service are located in the VCN.
