This image shows an on-premises IBM Db2 database migrating to an Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

The Oracle Cloud region contains a compartment, a Dynamic Routing Gateway, and a Service Gateway. Within the compartment is Cloud Guard, object storage, a VCN, an availability domain, a fault domain, a regional public subnet, and a regional private subnet. Each subnet has a route table and security list. The components are described in the surrounding text.

The on-premises data center contains an IBM Db2 and a tool set of SQL Developer, SQL *Loader, and an export utility. The tool set moves metadata from the IBM Db2 database to the Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse and moves data from the IBM Db2 to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage in the Compartment.
