This image shows an extended architecture typical of SaaS extensions based on Oracle WebLogic Server for OCI. Three separate environments, one for Production, one for Test, and one labeled Developer 1 are shown. In each environment, components are labeled with environment-specific names, such as wxyz (for Production), wxyztest (for Test), and wxyzdev1 (for Developer 1).

Each environment has the same arrangement of components: Oracle Applications, for example HCM, Sales Cloud, and ERP, interact with Oracle Identity Cloud Service. Oracle WebLogic Server for OCI connects to Oracle Identity Cloud Service, and to an Autonomous Transaction Processing database. Oracle Applications and Oracle WebLogic Server for OCI are also directly connected.

The Test and Developer 1 environments are shown to share a single Autonomous Transaction Processing instance, spanning the two environments. Each instance has its own Schema within the database (Schema: Test and Schema: Dev1).
