This image shows an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region containing three availability domains (AD), labeled Availability Domain 1, Availability Domain 2, and AD3. These ADs are spanned by a virtual cloud network (VCN).

Availability Domain 1 (AD1) contains these components:
  • A bastion VM.
  • A load balancer.
  • A private subnet containing the Siebel AI server, comprising a pair of VMs.
  • A private subnet containing the Siebel app server, an active Siebel Cloud Gateway in a three-node cluster, and a Siebel Firewall System VM.
  • A private subnet containing the primary database.
Availability Domain 2 (AD2) contains the same components as AD1, with these exceptions:
  • It does not contain a load balancer.
  • The Siebel Cloud Gateway is idle.
  • The database is on standby and is not primary. This database synchronizes content with the primary database through Data Guard
Availability Domain 3 (AD3) is empty.

Outside of the three availability domains but within the VCN is an object storage container.

An external web client can access the region through an Internet gateway, whereas an internal web client can access the region through a dynamic routing gateway, which directs traffic to the Siebel AI server in AD1,
