This architecture shows a sidecar orchestrator that unifies systems of record, Fusion
Applications, governed data on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), artificial intelligence (AI), and consumer channels. The architecture
has the following tiers and components:
- Systems of Record: SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) Central Component (ECC) and SAP S/4HANA feeds data via read/extract and optionally
receiveds data via write-back from the Connectivity and Integration tier.
- Other sources: Tickets, documents, and files ingest to the Connectivity and Integration tier.
-
OCI region:
- The Oracle Fusion Applications tier, which includes Fusion
Applications such as HCM, ERP, SCM, and EPM, feeds data via read/extract and optionally receives data via write-back from the Connectivity
and Integration tier.
- The Connectivity and Integration tier includes Oracle Integration with Oracle Integration Adapters, REST APIs, and SAP OData, BAPI, and IDoc adapters. The tier sends operations such as land/replicate, transform/curate,
and register/govern, to the Goverened Data and AI Runtime tier.
- The Sidecar Orchestrator tier uses OCI API Gateway, additional APIs, workflows, and guardrails to query data and get context from the Governed Data and AI Runtime tier, send
approved actions to the Connectivity and Integration tier, delegate requests to and receive results from the AI and Agents
tier, and send answers to the Consumers tier.
- The Governed Data and AI Runtime tier includes Oracle AI Data Platform and OCI Streaming with Apache Kafka, as well as four sub-tiers:
- Raw/Bronze: OCI Object Storage.
- Curated Data Products Silver/Gold: Oracle Autonomous AI Database.
- Catalog and Governance: includes policies, access control, and lineage components.
- Vector Index and RAG Corpus: includes documents and embeddings.
- The AI and Agents tier includes OCI Functions and OCI GenAI Agents. Examples shown are insight, reconciliation, narratives, and automation agents.
- The Consumers tier includes as examples, chat, apps, APIs, and dashboards.
- The Observability and Audit tier includes services such as OCI Logging, OCI Audit, and Oracle Log Analytics to record, analyze, and audit activity.
