The image shows the physical architecture of a deployment with Azure Region 1, Azure Region 2. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Services in 2 OCI Regions. Each OCI Services instance contains an instance of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage.

Each Azure Region has an Availability Zone inside a Subscription and the following:

VNET Peering provides two-way communication between the Application VNet and Database VNet in each Availablity Zone.

Input is received from users and sent through Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall to the App Service and then to the Primary Database VNet in Azure Region 1 and the Standby Database VNet in Azure Region 2.

Automatic backups are sent from the Autonomous JSON Database in the Primary Database VNet in Azure Region 1 to OCI Object Storage in the primary OCI Services, and then to OCI Object Storage in the secondary instance of OCI Services. Content is sent from the secondary instance of OCI Object Storage to the Autonomous JSON Database in the Standby VNet as a back-up-based peer.
