This image shows multicloud connectivity using Megaport between an autonomous database deployed in Oracle Cloud and a workload running on a compute Amazon EC2 instance in Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The Oracle Cloud Region has a Fault Domain, a virtual cloud network (VCN), a subnet, and a dynamic routing gateway (DRG). An Autonomous Database resides in the subnet and connects to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect through the DRG. The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect circuit enables connectivity to AWS through the Megaport backbone platform.

In the AWS region, there are three virtual private clouds. Each virtual private cloud (VPC) that's used for a compute instance has a virtual gateway (VGW). A virtual interface (VIF) is used to associate the VGW with a Direct Connect Gateway circuit.

On the Megaport platform, a Megaport Virtual Cross Connect and Megaport Cloud Router interconnects the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect and the AWS Direct Connect circuit.
