The image shows an AWS region with an availability zone, which contains an
application VPC and an
ODB network, and an OCI region.
- The application VPC contains two subnets: App-A subnet and App-B
subnet, each with two applications.
- The ODB network hosts an Oracle Database@AWS OCI child site. Within the child site is a VCN and two subnets, which extend
into the OCI Region. The VCN hosts a Client and a Backup subnet. The Client
subnet hosts an instance of Oracle Exadata Database
Service which spans both the client and backup subnets. Access to both subnets is
controlled by a routing table and a Network Security Group (NSG). Oracle Autonomous Database sits entirely inside the Client subnet.
Traffic flows bidirectionally between the Application VPC using
ODB
peering connectivity to the
ODB network.
The OCI region contains a Control plane, OCI Vault, Oracle Database Autonomous
Recovery Service, and OCI Object Storage.
