This image shows multicloud connectivity using Equinix, between an autonomous database deployed in Oracle Cloud and a workload running on a compute EC2 instance in Amazon Web Services (AWS).

In the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region, the virtual cloud network (VCN-0 (Hub)) that's used for the database has a dynamic routing gateway (DRG). The Autonomous Database is deployed in a subet and within a Fault Domain. An Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect circuit using the DRG enables connectivity to AWS through the Equinix platform.

In the AWS region, the virtual private cloud (VPC) that's used for the compute instance has a virtual gateway (VGW). An AWS Direct Connect Private VIF is used to associate the VGW with a Direct Connect circuit.

On the Equinix platform, a Network Edge Virtual Router interconnects the Equinex Fabric Virtual Connections which attach to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect and the AWS Direct Connect Private VIF circuits.
