The OCI region is subdivided into four sections: Storage (containing two Buckets); Observability & Management (containing two Events); Developer Services & Integration (which has a VCN with subnet containing two Oracle Functions, and a Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Data IntegrationData Integration, and an Oracle Integration outside of the VCN), and Applications & Databases (containing one each of Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle MySQL Database Service, other Oracle databases, other non-Oracle databases, other Oracle applications, and other non-Oracle applications).

Data flows as follows:

• From external sources and on-premises sources into the first storage Buckets (callout 1).
• Bidirectionally from the Buckets to Events (callout 2), through to Functions (callout 3).
• From Functions to Data Integration (callout 4), to the second Buckets (callout 5).
• Bidirectionally from the second Buckets to the second Events (callout 6), through to the second Functions (callout 7), and on to Integration (callout 8). Also, from the second Buckets, bidirectionally, to Integration (callout 9).
• Finally, Integration to the applications and databases (callout 10).
