This diagram shows the conversion of enterprise, application, and flat file data from multiple sources through components in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region to usable insights for data consumers.
The following components apply to the entire Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region:
- Governance (Data Catalog)
- Infrastructure, Network Security, Identity, and Access Management (IAM)
The region is divided into functional layers that house physical or functional components:
-
Data Sources layer: ERP application data and departmental spreadsheet data from multiple sources come together for batch processing using Oracle Data Integrator.
-
Ingest, Transform layer: Data is refined in Oracle Data Transforms, an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) integration tool that can be deployed from Autonomous Database database actions (DB Tools), and then passed into Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse.
-
Persist, Curate, Create: Data in Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse is accessed by APIs and is also used for analytics and visualization. Metadata passes to the block labeled Governance (Data Catalog).
-
Analyze, Learn, Predict layer: Oracle Analytics Cloud uses the data for analytics and visualization while passing additional metadata to the data catalog. Oracle Functions and Oracle API Gateway provide the data to applications and to IoT consumers.
-
Measure, Act layer: People and partners use analytics data while applications and IoT consumers use refined data.
