This diagram shows an automated invoice entry sytem that uses cloud and AI services to
refine and process invoices before storing them in the customer's ERP system. Detailed
component descriptions and process steps are provided in the surrounding text.
The customer environment includes the following:
- Enterprise resource planning (ERP) connects to Oracle Integration.
- Oracle Integration connects to the VCN by using OCI Site-to-Site VPN with encryption.
A single Oracle Cloud
Infrastructure (OCI) region contains a single virtual cloud network (VCN) with one private subnet
and one public subnet: The VCN provides the following gateways:
- An internet gateway connects the user to the VCN.
- A service gateway connects the VCN to Oracle services.
The public subnet provides the following:
- The user acesses the VCN through the internet gateway to reach the user interface
provided by Oracle APEX Application
Development.
- OCI API Gateway handles incoming and outgoing API calls.
The private subnet provides the following:
- OCI Load
Balancer distributes incoming traffic to the Automation Engine REST Server.
- Automation Engine REST Server connects to Oracle Autonomous AI Database and to OCI Generative AI provided by the Oracle Services Network. The automation engined also interfaces
with OCI Object Storage and OCI Email Delivery.
- Autonomous AI Database interfaces with the Astute AI Prompt Library.
Oracle Services Network provides the following services:
- OCI Generative AI
- OCI Object Storage
- OCI Email Delivery
- OCI Identity and Access Management
- The environment also includes Oracle Cloud Marketplace, Oracle Maximum Security
Zone, network security group (NSG), and Policies.
