This architecture collects and combines application data for analysis and machine learning to provide actionable insights. A linear sequence of steps spans the diagram:
The following components apply to the entire Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region:
The region is divided into functional layers that house physical or functional components:
Ingest, Transform layer: A block labeled Batch Ingestion (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Data Integration, Oracle Data Integrator, Data Studio) handles data from enterprise applications that is ingested and transformed in batches or micro batches. A block labeled Change Data Capture (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure GoldenGate, Oracle Data Integrator) handles the ingestion of enterprise applications data that is ingested in near real time as a result of a Change Data Capture process. Data ingested in real time is also processed and refined with the capabilities provided by the batch ingest component. Raw and refined application data passes to the Persist, Curate, Create layer along separate paths.
Persist, Curate, Create layer: Refined application data moves into a block labeled Serving Data Store (Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Exadata Database Service, Oracle Exadata Database Service on Cloud@Customer, Oracle MySQL HeatWave). Change data moves into a block labeled Cloud Storage (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage, OCI Data Lake). Application and change data pass to the Analyze, Learn, Predict layer along separate paths. Metadata from Autonomous Data Warehouse and object storage is harvested and flows into the block Governance Data. Data from the Cloud Storage block in integrated into the Serving Data Store.
Analyze, Learn, Predict layer: Refined application data moves into a block labeled Analytics and Visualization (Oracle Analytics Cloud, GraphStudio, Query Service, ISVs) Refined application data also moves in the block labeled Data Products, APIs (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure API Gateway, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Functions). Change data moves into blocks labeled Learn (Data Science, OML, OML Notebooks) and Predict (Data Science, OML, OML Notebooks). Prediction data is accessed by the Data Products, APIs block. Analytics metadata flows into the Governance Data block. Data from the Cloud Storage block in integrated into the Serving Data Store.
