The image shows an Oracle Cloud
Infrastructure region with 1 availability domain and 1 virtual cloud network (VCN). Users connect with the region by using site-to-site
VPN and an internet gateway provided by the VCN.
Region provides the following services:
- Oracle Cloud
Infrastructure GoldenGate
- Oracle
Analytics Cloud (OAC)
- Oracle Cloud
Infrastructure Object Storage
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Identity
and Access Management
- Compartments
- Policies
The VCN provides the following gateways:
- Internet gateway: Provides communications between public subnets and internet hosts.
- Network address translation (NAT) gateway: Enables private resources in a VCN to access hosts on the internet, without exposing
those resources to incoming internet connections.
- Service gateway: VCNs communicate with services in the Oracle Services Network (OSN) such as object storage over the Oracle
network fabric without traversing the internet.
- Dynamic routing gateway (DRG): Provides private connectivity between on-premises networks and VCNs by using Site-to-Site
VPN or FastConnect. A DRG can also route traffic between VCNs for remote peering.
The VCN has 1 public subnet that provides its own security list and route table. The subnet provides instances of Oracle Autonomous Database with autoscaling and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Data Science.
