Deploy

Follow these steps to create your Windows Virtual Desktops image:

1. Download the OCI Secure Desktops Image Builder (Doc ID 3004854.1) (Requires a My Oracle Support account).
2. Download the osdib.zip (Image Builder binary attached at the end of the document).
3. Run the osdib.zip as administrator and follow the on-screen prompts.
   A series of last minute checks run to ensure that everything is where it needs to be. Green dots indicate that the tests were successful.
4. Respond with Y to the question Are you prepared to begin the unattended installation?
5. At the end of the installation, Readiness Checker runs to ensure that the Windows image meets all the necessary criteria for import into OCI.
6. Sysprep runs at the end and the instance is shut down.
7. Press Return to close the tool window.
   A File Explorer window pops up to display the location of the VMDK file which is now ready to be uploaded to OCI.
8. Upload the Windows image to OCI.
