The image shows deployment architecture with a public Oracle Analytics Cloud instance, Autonomous Data Warehouse with Data Guard, OCI Object Storage with native replication, and an OCI Compute instance.

A cross-region-based disaster recovery (DR) is set up on OCI. The regions selected are Region 1 and Region 2. In Region 1, a single VCN is created with an internet gateway, Dynamic Routing Gateway (DRG), and service gateway. The service gateway is used for connectivity to the Oracle services network. The internet gateway is used for internet-based connections into the VCN. The DRG is used for connectivity between regions from on-premises and remote peering connections.

Users can access both the OCI regions using an IPSEC VPN or OCI FastConnect to connect on-premises resources, which is not shown in the diagram.

Each region contains two public subnets and one private subnet. One public subnet is for an OCI Bastion host service; one public subnet for Oracle Analytics Cloud public service; and one private subnet for Autonomous Data Warehouse.

Each of these subnets is equipped with route tables and security lists. Similar networking and components were created in Region 2 as those in Region 1. Remote peering connection is created between the subnet CIDRs of both regions using DRG.
