This image shows a multicloud environment with an on-premises network in a customer
data center, a Google Cloud project and region, and an Oracle Cloud
Infrastructure (OCI) region.
The on-premises network includes 2 subnets:
- Database subnet: Includes the source Oracle Database and the Zero Downtime Migration service host.
- Gateway subnet: Includes an on-premises router that handles traffic to the
Google Cloud by using Google Cloud Interconnect.
The Google Cloud project and region hosts Oracle Database Autonomous
Recovery Service and includes the following virtual private clouds (VPCs), each with a single
subnet:
- Hub VPC: Includes a Google Cloud router and uses VPC peering to communicate with the
other VPC.
- Spoke VPC: Hosts the OCI-managed network which provides Oracle Database@Google Cloud and a colocated virtual cloud network (VCN) with a client subnet and a backup
subnet. The target Oracle Exadata Database
Service spans both subnets.
The Oracle Cloud
Infrastructure (OCI) region includes the OCI-managed network with the colocated VCN, the control
plane, and the Oracle Database Autonomous
Recovery Service.
