This image shows a single region and compartment. The compartment provides object storage and Cloud Guard security and the region provides identity and access management (IAM) ande logging services.
- A single virtual cloud network (VCN) provides the following gateways:
- Internet gateway: Provides communications between public subnets and internet hosts.
- Dynamic routing gateway (DRG): Provides private connectivity for sensor data using FastConnect.
Depending on the location of a race, the FastConnect service may not be available. In these instances, IPSec/VPN connections are substituted.
The VCN provides two subnets with security lists arranged as functional tiers:
- Media Partner Public Subnet: Provides flexible load balancers to handle the traffic to provide data to media partners through Oracle REST Data Services running the in Data Processing subnet.
- Data Processing Private Subnet: Includes a network security group (NSG) to provide private access to specific resources. Data is distributed to compute instances for pre-processing in the media data system server (MDSS) and PI server. Batch data is stored and retrieved from object storage and processes by the PI server. Data is then transformed from a proprietary format to a JSON format, and then sent to Oracle Stream Analytics, which processes the data and detects relevant events. The data is then sent to Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, which performs complex analysis and makes that data available to media partners through Oracle REST Data Services.
Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse also feeds data from SailGP's MySQL server (mainly used for legacy applications and data) using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure GoldenGate for replication.
