This image shows software applications, components, and services for anOracle E-Business Suite (EBS) solution deployed in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure region with a single availability domain. The region provides object storage services for the region.
The deployment includes 3 compartments, each with a single virtual cloud network (VCN).
The compartments, VCNs, and their subnets are arranged by function:
- Compartment A, VCN A: Provides the following gateways and subnets:
- Internet gateway: Provides communications between public subnets and internet hosts.
- Network address translation (NAT) gateway: Provides secure communications between private subnets and internet hosts.
- Local peering gateway (LPG): Provides secure communications between VCNs using private addresses.
- FTP environment (public subnet): Provides load balancing and compute instances for file transfer with file storage in in a private subnent in VCN C.
- Load balancer (public subnet): Provides load balancing for service instances in the Services subnet.
- Services (private subnet): Provides compute instances for B2B portal and global web services, and for custom functions.
- Compartment B, VCN B: Provides the following gateways and subnets:
- Network address translation (NAT) gateway: Provides secure communications between private subnets and internet hosts.
- Local peering gateway (LPG): Provides secure communications between VCNs using private addresses.
- FTP environment (private subnet): Provides load balancing and compute instances for integration servers (labeling, JBoss), Hybris servers (Apex, Agile tools, WLS), and B2C servers (WebLogic, print).
- EBS Agile (private subnet): Provides load balancing and compute instances for E-Business Suite.
- Services (private subnet): Provides 2 nodes of ΒΌ rack Oracle Exadata Database Service, a virtual machine and a database system.
- Compartment C, VCN C: Provides the following gateways and subnets:
- Dynamic routing gateway (DRG): Provides private connectivity using FastConnect to the customer's data center.
- Network address translation (NAT) gateway: Provides secure communications between private subnets and internet hosts.
- Local peering gateway (LPG): Provides secure communications between VCNs using private addresses.
- Controller services (private subnet): Provides a domain controller, Linux and Windows bastion servers, a CUPS print server, and file storage.
