This image shows the WildFly multi-server architecture on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in a single region with 2 availability domains.
A single virtual cloud network (VCN) provides an internet gateway for communications between public subnets and Internet hosts. The VCN also provides 3 subnets arranged as functional tiers.
- Load balancer tier (public subnet): An internet gateway provides access to the application servers is through an active load balancer in availability domain 1 and a standby load balancer in availability domain 2. A bastion host provides access to the administration console.
- Wildfly server tier (private subnet): Wildfly servers are provided in each availability domain for high availability.
- Database tier (private subnet): Provides an Autonomous Database System.
