View Tape Cartridge Health (Media Health)

The library report any tape alerts which affect the tape's media health after it has been dismounted from a drive.

  1. From the remote interface, select Tapes in the left menu.
  2. View the Media Health column. Possible states are:
    • Unknown Unknown icon— the tape has not yet been mounted in a drive, therefore the health of the tape is not known.

    • Operational Operatiional state icon — the last time the tape was unloaded, the drive reported no "suspect" tape alerts.

    • Suspect Suspect icon — the last time the tape was unloaded, the drive presented one or more "suspect" tape alerts. These alerts are shown in the Tapes table.
