Network: Device Errors

This statistic tracks and displays NIC devices errors per second. These errors are created by dropped inbound or outbound packets. Each NIC driver can include different error messages, so not all drivers will generate the same errors.

In the BUI, this report is under the Network group and is called Device errors. In the CLI, this statistic appears as nic.errors.

When to Check Device Errors

The Device Errors analytic should be checked routinely to see if there are any problems.
