Openswan

Openswan est une implémentation IPSec bien connue, destinée à Linux. Il s'agit d'une dérivation du projet FreeS/WAN, désormais arrêté, lancée en 2003. Contrairement au projet FreeS/WAN, Openswan ne cible pas exclusivement le système d'exploitation GNU/Linux et a développé son utilisation pour d'autres systèmes d'exploitation. En 2012, FreeS/WAN a été renommé Libreswan Project en raison d'une action en justice portant sur la marque openswan.
Par conséquent, lorsque vous tentez d'installer ou d'interroger le package Openswan sur Oracle Linux, le package Libreswan est installé ou affiché par défaut à la place. La commande de requête de recherche YUM suivante illustre ce comportement :
$ sudo yum search openswan
