Configuring elements in the coding browser

Use this procedure to configure the fields that appear in the coding browser for the requests associated with a particular dictionary type or coding definition. You can add, reorder, and remove elements.

To configure dictionary elements at the dictionary level, select Coding Setup > Dictionaries.
The Dictionaries page appears.

To configure dictionary elements at the coding definition level, select Coding Setup > Coding Definitions.

The Coding Definitions page appears.
Select a dictionary.

Select a coding definition.
Select Actions > Element Configuration.
The Element Configuration page appears. For a description of the fields on this page, see Element Configuration page.
In the Elements section, select the elements to include in the coding browser by clicking the corresponding Add () icon.
The () icon turns grey and the selected elements appear in the Page Display section for the coding browser.
In the Page Display sections, reorder the elements as desired to appear in the coding browser.
1. Click the Move up () icon to move the element up to the left in the coding browser.
2. Click the Move down () icon to move the element to the right in the coding browser.
3. Click the Remove () icon to remove the element from the coding browser.
Select Include Code for each element to display the code with the term.
Select Include Label for each element to label in Browse mode.
Select In Field for each element to include in the In Field drop-down list in the coding browser in Search mode.
The Central Coding application uses the dictionary elements you specify to search for a code.
Click the Save button.
