About approval

The approval functionality is available only if configured for your system. An administrator can configure the Central Coding application to apply approvals to coded requests automatically, or to require manual approvals.

Approvers can view the requests that are awaiting approval and their details, manually approve or disapprove requests, or indicate that more information is required to code requests. Whether you can perform all or some of these tasks depends on your roles and rights.

Approved requests are considered to be complete and available for delivery to the source application. If the source application is InForm, the Central Coding application can return approval details such as the approver name and approval date to InForm.
