What is a query target item?
A query target item is an item that you designate as the item to create queries on. It can be the verbatim, or another item. Any query created by an application such as Central Coding or DMW is created on the query target item. You can designate an item as a query target for only one verbatim.
If you select a query target item for a coding map, you can only deploy the study to a version of the InForm application that supports coding query targets. For more information, see the InForm documentation.
A query target item must be:
- A top-level item.
- Visible and available for editing in InForm. Items designated as query targets must not have the Display Override property set to ReadOnly or Hidden in Central Designer.
A query target item cannot be:
- Conditional on another item.
- The child of a top-level compound item, but can be the top-level compound item itself.
