You create a unique user name for each user who logs in to the Empirica Signal application. The application converts user names to lowercase and does not allow two user names that differ only in case. For example, if you create user jkelley and then attempt to create user JKelley, a message indicates that the user already exists.
If you work in a self-hosted environment with single sign-on, you must give each user the same user name in Empirica Signal and the single sign-on application. For example, you might give a user the user names JKelley in Oracle Access Manager and jkelley in Empirica Signal. The case of each user name can be different.
If you work in an Oracle-hosted environment, you create each user only once, in Oracle's Identity and Access Management Services console.
