Filtering comments on the Drug-Event Combinations page

You can filter drug-event combinations by the comments applied to drug-event combinations. The filter is not part of the view, but is applied across views until you change it. If a drug-event combination does not appear for the current view, you cannot show it by filtering by comments.

If the signal configuration has the private comments feature set up, you choose between filtering based on Public comments entered by any user or Private comments entered only by yourself.

If rows have been filtered using a SQL WHERE clause in the Column and Rows window, the text Rows are filtered appears above the table of drug-event combinations. If rows have also been filtered by comments, the text instead reads Rows are filtered by <private> comments. You can place your mouse on that text to see a tooltip with the SQL WHERE clause, if any, that is in effect

1.         Click the Signals tab.

The Drug-Event Combinations page appears.

2.         Click Filter By Comments.

3.         If the signal configuration supports private comments, from the menu, select the type of comment:

  1. To filter by comments entered by all users, click Public.
  2. To filter by comments that only you entered, click Private.

If you select Public, the Signal Comments Filter dialog box appears.

If you select Private, the Signal Private Comments Filter dialog box appears.

4.         Select the check box of one or more comments, or to include all comments, click Select All.

5.         Click OK.

The application displays only those combinations that include the selected comments and meet the condition of the signal view. The text, Rows are filtered by <private> comments, appears above the table of drug-event combinations.
