Topic workflow configurations

A topic workflow configuration defines how the topics feature works in the application, including the fields that store topic information and the workflow states that you can assign to track progress. You can set up topic workflow configurations and the topic feature to accommodate your organization's processes. Users with the Manage Topic Workflow Configurations permission can work with topic workflow configurations.

The following checklist is for designing a new topic workflow configuration. Customize the following tasks at any time, in any order:

These definitions affect the appearance and behavior of the user interface for using topics.

A Sample Topic Workflow Configuration is provided with the application. The sample configuration can be used as a starting point when you design a configuration by copying and editing it. You can also review the definitions in the Sample Topic Workflow Configuration and base your design on them. The Sample Topic Workflow Configuration itself should not be edited.

Note: Changes to a topic workflow configuration that is already in use are not recommended.
