Install Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility (RCU) and create repositories
- To locate the RCU shell script, go to
/u01/app/oracle/product/Middleware12c/oracle_common/bin
- Execute the following command:
$ ./rcu
The Repository Creation Utility is launched.
- Click Next.
The Create Repository page appears.
- Under Create Repository, select System Load and Product Load.
- Click Next.
The Database Connection Details page appears.
- From the Database Type drop-down list, select Oracle Database.
- Enter the database information, including a user name with SYSDBA privileges.
Note: Use the host name, port number, and service name values from the tnsnames.ora file of the database where you are creating the repository.
- From the Role drop-down list, select SYSDBA.
- Click Next.
- If prompted, click Ignore to ignore the warning about supported databases.
The Checking Prerequisites dialog box appears.
- When checking is complete, click OK.
The Select Components page appears.
- In the Create new prefix field, enter a prefix, such as EMPIRICA.
- Expand AS Common Schemas.
- Select Metadata Services and Oracle Platform Security Services.
Audit-related checkboxes are automatically selected.
- Click Next.
The Repository Creation Utility - Checking Prerequisites dialog box appears.
- Click OK.
The Schema Passwords page appears.
- Specify the schema passwords and click Next.
Note: Keep the schema passwords for future reference.
The Map Tablespaces page appears.
- Click Next.
A confirmation dialog box appears.
- Click OK.
The tablespaces are validated and created.
- Click OK.
The Summary page appears.
- Click Create.
After the repository is created, the Completion Summary page appears.
- Click Close.
