On the Topic Action page, you can view and edit topic action information. The page allows you to view comments, attachments, and the history of the topic action. In Edit mode, you can also perform activities based on your permissions and topic workflow configuration.
To expand the sections on this page, click Show All, or click for a single section. To hide section details, click for the section or click Hide All.

Action General Information |
Displays the current field values that describe the action:
Note: The Save button affects only the Action General Information section of the topic. You do not need to click Save after you work with other sections of this page. |

Action Comments

Displays each comment added to the action. When in the edit mode, you can click Add Comment to add a comment. When a comment is added it cannot be modified or removed. Note: This section displays only if your topic workflow configuration allows action comments. |

Displays information about each item attached to the action. Your topic workflow configuration determines the types of attachments you can add, such as files, URLs, free text notes, or Empirica Signal objects. When in the edit mode, you can click Add Action Attachment to add a document-style attachment (for example, file, URL, or note). |

Displays information on changes that have taken place for the action. A new row is added to the table each time you click Save in the Action General Information section. |

Action state |
Indicates the state of the action in the workflow. States are defined by your organization to represent the expected workflow and are specified in the topic workflow configuration. A warning message may appear if you try to assign a final state to an action before a comment or attachment has been added. |
Assigned to user |
User to whom the action is assigned. By default, an action that you add is assigned to you. If you assign the action to a different user, that user can see and act on the action. Available users are those in all work teams of which you are a member. |
Planned completion date |
Planned date for the completion of the action |
Actual completion date |
Date the action was completed. |
If another user edits the same topic action at the same time, the first one to save the action will have their changes saved. The second user will get an error indicating the action has been changed since the edit session began. The General Information section of the page becomes visible, allowing the user to print or take a screen shot, so that the information can be re-entered.
