The Detailed Financial Transaction RMIM supports the exchange of detailed financial transaction messages from a financial transaction system to a patient accounting system. When a financial transaction system receives a billable act message from a patient care system, it associates the billable act with the appropriate charge master entry, fee schedule, and patient account. It includes charges, payments, and adjustments for billable acts associated with a patient encounter. It also creates a detailed financial transaction message and sends the message to a patient account system, cost accounting system, or financial transaction archive. HTB also supports charge to or reversal of a financial transaction.
