Batch Metrics
View metric charts, create queries, and review details about Batch service metrics.
Use the Batch metrics to monitor your jobs and tasks, track OCPUs and memory in use, and see how many entitlements (such as licenses) are active in the job pool. For example, you can review the number of jobs or tasks that are running, waiting, or need attention, check the amount of compute and memory resources being consumed, and track the usage of specific features within your Batch workloads. These metrics provide insight into the overall health, progress, and resource utilization within your batch environments.
The following pages describe tasks you can perform with Batch service metrics:
You can create an alarm to notify you when a Batch metric meets a specified trigger. For example, you can create an alarm to notify you when jobs require attention by selecting the JobCount metric and the lifecycleState dimension with the value NEEDS_ATTENTION. Note that you can only select this metric and dimension when relevant data is available in the selected compartment. If the metric or dimension isn't available for selection using Basic mode in the Console, then use Advanced mode, or use CLI or API instead.
