Workflow for Private Offers

Learn about your role and how to use the Private Offers feature of Publisher.

Before publishers and customers can use private offers, the following prerequisites must be met.

For publishers:

  • The Publisher must be enabled for private offers.
  • Listings that are made available through private offers are enabled in Partner Portal.
  • The Publisher is enabled to create, read, update, and withdraw private offers with policies in the publisher’s tenancy designated for management of private offers.

For customers: The customer is enabled to read and update (accept) private offers in the customer’s designated tenancy.

For details, see Prerequisites for Private Offers.

Following is the workflow for creating, sending, reviewing, and accepting private offers:

  1. The publisher logs in to their designated tenancy in OCI Publisher in the Oracle Cloud Console and creates, reviews, and sends private offers to a customer.
  2. The customer and any additional contacts receive an OCI email notification informing them that a private offer is available for review and acceptance in the customer’s identified tenancy.
  3. The customer logs in to the Oracle Cloud Console and views the private offer grid in Marketplace to access the pending acceptance of the private offer.
  4. The customer reviews the price, terms, and related contract documents in the offer and accepts by acknowledging review of the elements of the private offer contract.
  5. The status of the private offer contract changes from pending acceptance to active, and Oracle bills the customer through the customer’s Universal Credits subscription on the private offer start date.
  6. An OCI email notification is sent to the Publisher and additional contacts informing them of the acceptance of the private offer.
