Updating an Instance
Update an instance.
- Sign in to Resource Analytics. If you need help finding the home page, see Listing Instances.

Select Instances.
The list of instances in that compartment is shown.

Select the name of the instance you want to edit.
The Instance Details page is displayed.
- (Optional)
Select Edit.
- (Optional) Update the instance's name.
- (Optional) Update the instance's description.
- Select Save Changes.
- (Optional)
To change the compartment of the instance, select Actions and select Move compartment.
- Select the compartment to move the instance to.
- Select Move compartment.
- (Optional)
To add tenancies or edit the existing ones, select Tenancies.
- To add more tenancies, select Add tenancies. The Add tenancies page is displayed.
- To add lots of tenancies, upload a CSV file with their details. A sample template can be downloaded.
- To add no more than a few tenancies:
- Enter the Tenancy OCID.
- Enter a Description.
- (Optional) To add another tenancy, select Add tenancy.
- Select Add tenancies.

The appropriate policies must be applied to any tenancy you add. - To update a tenancy description, select the Actions menu (three dots) and select Edit description.
- To remove a tenancy, select the Actions menu (three dots) and select Remove tenancy. The Confirm Removal dialog box is displayed. Select Remove. Note
When a tenancy is removed from a Resource Analytics instance, the data that's already in Resource Analytics for that tenancy is readable through the views forever. It isn't deleted.
- To add more tenancies, select Add tenancies. The Add tenancies page is displayed.

To edit the regions of the instance, select Regions and
select Edit regions.
The Subscribed OCI regions page is displayed.
- (Optional): To remove a region, under Confirmed for data collection, clear the checkbox for the region.
- (Optional): To add a region, under Not confirm for data collection, select the checkbox for the region.
- Select Save changes.
- (Optional)
To change the tags, select Tags.
- To edit a tag, from the Actions menu (three dots) next to the tag you want to edit, select Edit.
- Edit the value of the tag.
- Select Update.
- To remove a tag, from the Actions menu (three dots) next to the tag you want to edit, select Delete.
- To edit a tag, from the Actions menu (three dots) next to the tag you want to edit, select Edit.
- (Optional)
To add Oracle Analytics Cloud, select Instance details.
- Select Provision OAC.
- Select the compartment containing the IDCS domain.
- Select the IDCS domain.
- Under Capacity Type, select the capacity model to use for your Oracle Analytics Cloud instance:
- OCPU
Initial number of OCPUs to deploy for this service.

- Users
Number of users expected to use this service.
Your selection affects the number of OCPUs, amount of memory, and other resources allocated to the Oracle Analytics Cloud instance.
- OCPU
- If you selected OCPU, then under License Type, you can select either License included or Bring your own license (BYOL).
If you selected Users, then License included is the only option.
- Under Network Access, select Public or Private access to OAC.
- (Optional) Use the toggle switch to use network security groups.
- Select a NSG from the list.
- Select Add NSG.
- (Optional) Repeat steps i and ii to add up to four more NSGs.
- Select Create.

If you previously added Oracle Analytics Cloud and now you want to adjust the OCPU size for the OAC instance, you do this in OAC. Select Instance details and then next to OAC details, select View. This takes you to OAC where you can modify the OCPU count.

You can also modify the ECPU count for your ADW. To do this, select Instance details and then next to Autonomous AI Database details, select View. This takes you to the ADW Console where you can modify the ECPU count.
