  • Includes all updates as of September 23, 2020.
  • Introduces support for the BM.GPU4.8 shape, an AMD-based GPU shape with locally-attached, NVMe-based SSD storage for compute bare metal instances. For more information, see Compute Shapes.
  • Drops the ip=single-dhcp kernel command-line parameter and adds the following kernel command-line parameters:
    • ip=dhcp
    • rd.net.timeout.dhcp=10
    • rd.net.timeout.carrier=5
  • Fixes oci-utils bugs that caused the oci-public-ip and oci-iscsi-config utiltiies to fail.
  • Fixes an issue with iscsi-initiator-utils that caused Oracle Clusterware initial login failures on reboot resulting in start delays (Bug ID 31813824).

Oracle Linux platform images are based on the most recent release of Oracle Linux and are updated monthly. If you need to confirm the status of certifications, such as FIPS 140-3 or Common Criteria, see the Oracle Security Evaluations page for the latest information. FIPS mode is not enabled in Oracle Linux platform images. To modify this setting, see the FIPS section of the Oracle Linux Security Guide under Oracle Linux documentation or contact support for assistance.
