OCI Batch Service – Release Version 1.2.3

With this release, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Batch Service includes the following updates and enhancements:

GPU Shape Support

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Batch now supports creating Batch contexts with fleets that use GPU shapes. This feature enables Batch tasks to run on GPU resources. Each task runs on a dedicated GPU node.

This release supports the following GPU shapes:

  • VM.GPU.A10.1
  • VM.GPU.A10.2

Notes and Limitations

Review the following limitations for GPU support in this release:

  • GPU support is limited to the listed A10 shapes.
  • Tasks run individually on dedicated GPU nodes. Fractional GPU sharing isn't supported in this release.
  • You have a default batch-a10-count service limit of 0.

To use Batch with GPU nodes, submit a service limit increase request through the standard service limit increase process.
