MySQL Database Service now includes new metrics for Disk Space, HeatWave, Backups, and Channels. You can use the metrics to monitor and receive alarms for MySQL health, capacity, and performance with no additional cost.

Using the console, you can find the metrics directly under your MySQL DB Systems or in the Monitoring service namespace, oci_mysql_database.

The storage utilization information is also available via SQL using the PERFORMANCE_SCHEMA health_block_device and error_log tables.
