HeatWave: Support for Versions 9.5.0, 8.4.7, and 8.0.44

HeatWave now supports MySQL database 9.5.0, 8.4.7, and 8.0.44 versions. These versions provide security and bug fixes. New DB systems are now based on the 8.4.7 version, by default. You can optionally select 9.5.0 or 8.0.45 when creating a new DB system. For existing DB systems, you can manually upgrade them to newer version, such as from version 8.4.5 to 8.4.7 or from version 8.0.42 to 8.0.44, or allow your maintenance policy to handle the upgrade.

All three versions, 9.5.0 (Innovation), 8.4.7 (LTS), and 8.0.44 (Bugfix), are of production-grade quality. If you want to leverage the most recent advancements and enhancements, and stay abreast of cutting-edge technologies, the Innovation release might be the best fit for you. If you require established behavior, the LTS or Bugfix releases are more suitable.

The innovation release includes: Bulk loading of tables with generated columns, materialized views, and using stored functions inside MySQL HeatWave queries. HeatWave Lakehouse now supports reading Delta Lake tables. HeatWave GenAI now supports hybrid search and automatic creation of Vector Indexes. HeatWave AutoML now supports enhanced log anomaly detection and advanced recommendation capabilities.
