HeatWave: Support for Version 9.5.2

HeatWave now supports MySQL database 9.5.2. This is the latest Innovation release. It provides security and bug fixes in addition to feature enhancements. You can select version 9.5.2 when creating a new DB system. For existing DB systems, you must manually upgrade them to newer version, such as from version 9.5.1 to 9.5.2.

If you want to leverage the most recent advancements and enhancements, and stay abreast of cutting-edge technologies, then the Innovation release is the best fit for you. Alternatively, if your application requires established behavior, the LTS (8.4.x) or Bugfix (8.0.x) releases are more suitable.

HeatWave version 9.5.2 (Innovation) now supports enhanced asynchronous replication for tables with secondary engines, enabling more flexible management of tables on both sides of the replication channel. With this enhancement, certain ALTER TABLE <table_name> SECONDARY_LOAD statements that do not change the table definition can now be run, reducing the likelihood of replication failures.

HeatWave Lakehouse now supports the inference and loading of a unified schema when column matching is performed by name. HeatWave GenAI now includes a new schema retrieval routine.
