Oracle Cloud VMware Solution Supports Broadcom’s BYOL Model

Oracle Cloud VMware Solution (OCVS) now supports the VMware Bring Your Own License (BYOL) model. This feature enables customers to run VMware workloads natively on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) using Broadcom’s Metal as a Service licensing framework. Customers purchase VMware software licenses directly from Broadcom based on OCPUs or tebibytes (TiBs). Then, customers register and allocate those licenses on OCVS. This model also applies to VMware add-ons such as vDefend Firewall and Avi Load Balancer.
