This illustrations shows the DatePickerSample application. Its user interface consists of the following components (from top to bottom): the Check-In Date label and below it, a combo box field containing the 9/20/2556 B. E. date; the Check-Out Date label and below it, a combo boxes with the 11/15/1434 AH date (the date is highlighted with blue), and the calendar element.

The calendar element shows the dates of September 2013. It also shows a red caption stating "Shawwal - Dhu'l-Qi'dah 1434." The dates from September 1 to September 20 are colored pink. The date of September 21st is colored dark blue. The calendar also shows some dates of the next month, October (the corresponding dates are light gray).

The month days are structured in a table. The table header contains the days of week. Each table cell represents two dates corresponding to the ISO calendar (black, upper-left corner) and Hijrah calendar (red, lower-right corner). From left to right the columns are:
