The top of the Home page contains the following components:
Search list: Select an object type (such as dashboard or analysis) or accept the default, All.
Search field: Leave it blank to search for all of the selected object types, or enter one or more characters.
Search button: Right-pointing arrow that when clicked, performs a search and opens the Catalog with the results of your search.
Help list: This list contains links for options to open online help, open the documentation library, view videos, and so on.
Sign Out: This link signs you out of the Oracle BI Enterprise Edition.
The global header contains the following components:
Home: This link opens the Home page.
Catalog: This link opens the Catalog.
Favorites list: This list contains links to your favorite objects.
New list: This list contains links to create new objects, such as analyses and dashboards.
Open list: This list contains links to open the Catalog, and to the most popular and most recent content.
Signed in As username: This list contains a link to the My Account dialog, which allows you to change your preferences for time zones, how dashboards display, and so on.
The left pane has the following components:
Create: This area enables you to create new analyses, dashboards, reports, and so on.
Browse/Manage: This area enables you to search for objects, edit or delete analyses, and so on from the Catalog page.
Get Started: This area gives you access to more information, documentation, and tutorials about Oracle BI Enterprise Edition.
The Recent area displays a list of the most recently accessed objects, such as dashboards and analyses. The object name is a link to open the object. Each object has a corresponding Action menu icon, which enables you to perform actions associated with that object (for example, open, edit, and delete).
The Dashboards area displays a list of the most recently accessed dashboards.
The Most Popular area displays a list of your favorite objects.
