set-compression-rule-prop

Syntax

set-compression-rule-prop common_options --config=config_name --vs=vs_name --rule=compression_rule_name (property_name=property_value)+

Description

Use this command to set or change properties of a compression rule for a virtual server.

Options

For information about common_options, run the help command.

--config|-c

Specify the configuration name for which you want to set compression rule properties.

--vs|-s

Specify the name of the virtual server.

--rule|-r

Specify the compression rule name.

Operand

property-name=property-value

Specify name=value pairs for one or more properties that you want to define. The name=value pairs should be separated by spaces.

You can set the following compression rule properties:

insert-vary-header: Select to insert a vary:Accept-encoding header.
Values: true, false. Default: true.

compression-level: Specifies the compression level for the virtual server.
Values: 1 to 9. Specifying 1 yields better speed and specifying 9 yields best compression.

Note:

The property compression-level can accept auto-tuned as a value. Auto-tuned implies that the server will compute the value of this property at runtime.

fragment-size: Specifies the memory fragment size (in bytes) that is used by the compression library to control the compression rate.
Values: Any integer.

To reset a property to its default value, do not provide a property value.
For example, property-name=<empty_string>

Example

tadm set-compression-rule-prop --config=www.example.org
--vs=soa.example.org --rule=Compression34 compression-level=9
